The Fellow is responsible for assisting the CLSN Manager and the GLS Steering Committee in coordinating meetings, convenings, peer exchanges, and topic-based workshops, and to implement priorities identified in both the CLSN Strategic Roadmap and the GLS Strategic Roadmap. Priorities include cultivating collaborative leadership skills, capacity building for landscape stewardship nationally and globally, and accelerating landscape stewardship activities and outcomes. The position provides essential coordination, facilitation, communication, and administrative support for the CLSN and GLS. The Fellow will also assist in the development of all aspects for two key events – the CLSN’s 2025 Convening (November 3-7, 2025 in Santa Rosa, California) and the GLS in-person exchange (likely in South America in 2026).

This new full-time, benefitted fellowship is well-suited for an emerging leader who is interested in growing in this field. The Fellow will be supervised by the CLSN Manager and have the support of the CLSN and GLS leadership teams to successfully grow the Fellow’s leadership skills and accomplish their work.

About TSN

Headquartered in Ann Arbor, MI, The Stewardship Network (TSN) is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a 20-year history of caring for our natural world. The mission of TSN is to  connect, equip, and mobilize people and organizations to care for land and water in their communities. Through shared experiences, knowledge, and resources, we continue to build an ever larger and more impactful network of place-based collectives (TSN Member Communities) doing the most important work of our lifetimes.

Think of us as the broad trunk of a tree, sustaining an expanding canopy of flowering branches. While we’re removing administrative hurdles and supporting TSN Member Communities with vital, right-sized, centralized services, they’re out in the field pouring thousands and thousands of annual work hours into our ecosystems. The “branches” then return their hard-won lessons and best practices to us so we can disseminate them to all. It’s a model suited to the scale of modern challenges and we’re just getting started.

About the California Landscape Stewardship Network and Global Landscape Stewards

CLSN and GLS are fiscally sponsored projects of The Stewardship Network.

California Landscape Stewardship Network

Connect people, discover common purpose, and face shared challenges and opportunities together. Straightforward ideas such as these can sometimes give rise to remarkable things. In 2016, these ideas inspired six landscape-scale collaboratives from sunny Irvine to the misty North Coast’s redwoods to form the California Landscape Stewardship Network. Since then, the Network has grown to represent a diverse range of partnerships from across the state that have come together to overcome the challenges we face when working across boundaries, and to inspire others to join us.

Global Landscape Stewards

Global Landscape Stewards is an initiative dedicated to weaving a diverse network of stewardship practitioners worldwide. Through the candid and generous sharing of triumphs and setbacks, our exchanges serve to accelerate the pace and amplify the impact of this vital work, globally and locally.
