The North Coast Redwoods District of California State Parks contains more than 50 percent of the world’s remaining old-growth coast redwoods. Several federally recognized Tribes and many Indigenous communities with ancestral ties to the lands and waters of this place continue their culturally significant stewardship practices on what are now public lands.
