Scott Tiegs is a full professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Oakland University. There he is the principal investigator of the Aquatic Ecology Lab where the research focus is on carbon cycling, human impacts, and invasive species. He is the author of over 80 peer-reviewed publications in journals including Science, Nature Climate Change, Ecology, and Science Advances. He lives in Lake Orion, Michigan with his wife and two children and in his free time enjoys flyfishing, beekeeping, mushroom hunting, and restoring a 1-acre wet meadow on his property.
