Join Oakland County Parks staff for fall seed collection days at Orion Oaks on 10/26, 11/2, and 11/9. Try your hand at native prairie plant seed collection, learn to identify and collect species that contribute to ongoing prairie restoration efforts and discover how prairie habitats are an endangered and critical part of our landscape for wildlife and people.

We will meet in the parking lot and move into the fields for seed collection.

This event requires walking on uneven ground in natural areas off of paths/trails. Be prepared to bring sturdy shoes, water, and expect that you may get a bit dirty/muddy.
