About Us

The Mid-Michigan Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (MM-CISMA) was established in April 2016 to “spread the word, not the species” through education and outreach, identification, and reporting.

The MM-CISMA increases our ability to work together across jurisdictional lines by coordinating prevention, early detection and rapid response to invasive species both on land and in our lakes and streams. Our priority species are lesser celandine, black swallow-wort, Japanese knotweed, and European frogbit.
