Winter Stonefly Search
A volunteer event to search for winter stoneflies, which are aquatic insects living in good-quality streams. The presence of stoneflies helps gauge stream health, so this is part of HRWC’s bio-monitoring. Volunteers work with experienced researchers to collect stoneflies and learn how to assess a stream’s condition.
