Ball State University’s Field Station and Environmental Education Center proudly hosts internationally recognized wetland instructor, Tom Biebighauser to conduct this hands-on workshop to demonstrate practical, low-cost techniques to create or restore natural and native wetland habitats.
Participants learn to select appropriate locations, test soil texture, choose appropriate construction techniques, work with heavy equipment operators, and select and establish native wetland plants. Participants actively engage in design and construction of natural-appearing and functioning wetlands.
This hands-on restoration workshop is for individuals to learn practical, low-cost techniques to design and build wetlands that specifically provide habitat for mid-west amphibians.
