Oakland County Parks – Spring Stewardship Days

June 2 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Gain hands-on experience working on invasive species and habitat improvements. Learn about what OCCISMA and Oakland County Parks does to restore natural communities, why we manage invasive species, how to prevent future invasives, and what we can do to reduce their impacts. Attendees should expect to be off-trail on un-even ground. Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a waterbottle and boots/shoes (that you don’t mind getting muddy). Gloves will be provided. Contact Patrick (canniffp@oakgov.com) with any questions on the event or meeting locations. If registration is not available on the link provided below feel free to email Patrick!

Invasive species being managed depending on location may include garlic mustard, motherwort, winter creeper, periwinkle/myrtle, buckthorn brush (post removal), and likely more.

Exact meeting spot: Park at the house/driveway on Square lake Rd – 2473 E Square Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48085
