Native Plant Sale

May 13 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Spring is officially here and Calvin’s Ecosystem Preserve & Native Gardens is full of anticipation for the growth and beauty we’ll soon get to see around us. It’s time to prepare our spaces for another season of native plant beauty.

Our greenhouses are also busy with staff and volunteers preparing plants for our Native Plant Sale on Saturday, May 13 from 10-4pm.

Each year, the staff at the Preserve collect native seeds from West Michigan and propagate them in our greenhouses. The Native Plant Sale features more than 100 rare, unusual, and favorite varieties of native wildflowers, shrubs, and grasses for all growing conditions, including drought-tolerant, rain garden, and shade species.

Beyond increasing the health of ecosystems in West Michigan, a purchase from our sale benefits educational and stewardship programs at the Preserve. We’re so grateful to use these proceeds to increase awareness and train future land stewards.
