Butterfly Declines and What Can be Done About Them

November 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In a recent publication, Professor Elise Zipkin of Michigan State University, and her coauthors, document an alarming decline in native butterfly populations in North America. The factors underlying this decline are complex, but researchers are revealing causes and pointing to potential policies that can help reverse the trend.

Join the Wild Ones Red Cedar Chapter and learn about Dr. Zipkin’s findings on Nov. 12, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Michigan Nature Association Bldg, 2310 Science Pkwy, Okemos, MI 48864. This presentation is free and open to the public. The talk will be preceded by a short business meeting and Board elections at 6:30 pm.
